Tap Switch

I've been looking at ways I can build the magnetic switch, or something similar. Here are two links of company's I came across with pre-made stuff that might be useful:

I read that there is also conductive foam (decreasing it's resistance as it is compressed) out there which can be placed between two conductors though it's lifespan is shorter than something pre-made. This might be the best option, because I can cut it out and fit it around the shoe easily.
